Pets do not need to go anywhere for your home to be professionally cleaned. A friendly dog or a curious cat is part of the household, and a cleaning team can work around them easily, with a little planning beforehand.

Tell us about your pet before the visit

The most helpful thing you can do is share a few details when you book:

  • What kind of pets you have and how many
  • Whether your pet is anxious, reactive, or uncomfortable around strangers
  • Any special care or access instructions, such as a gate that must stay closed

There is no wrong answer here. A shy cat that hides under the bed is no problem. A dog that gets nervous with visitors is better known in advance than discovered at the door.

Give them a safe, separate space

Vacuums are loud, floors are wet after mopping, and doors open and close as equipment comes in. Most pets are happier in a quiet room or a crate with water and a familiar blanket, away from the active cleaning areas.

If your pet is a known escape artist, mention it. The team will be careful with doors, but it helps to know.

Pick up after them

Please pick up pet waste in the yard and on the porch before the visit, and let us know ahead of time about any accidents indoors. For safety, cleaning teams do not handle biohazardous waste.

Pet hair: what is covered

Pet hair is part of normal life, and a regular cleaning handles a lot of it: carpets and area rugs are vacuumed, and hard floors are vacuumed and damp-mopped. If your sofa is your dog's favorite spot, the Sofa Vacuuming add-on ($10 per sofa) takes care of the hair that settles into the cushions.

Homes with heavy shedding sometimes need more time per visit. When you request your estimate, mention your pets so the plan reflects your home.

Products and sensitive noses

We clean only with green, eco-friendly products and give priority to certified ones. They are chosen to clean effectively while keeping your home comfortable. If you prefer a scent-free option, or have a specific product you would like used, let us know before your appointment.

Litter boxes, bowls, and beds

Tell us how you would like these handled. Some owners prefer to manage litter boxes and feeding areas themselves; others are happy for the floor around them to be cleaned as usual. Clear instructions keep everyone on the same page.

The short version

  • Share details about your pets when you book
  • Settle them in a safe, quiet space during the visit
  • Pick up pet waste outside and mention any accidents
  • Consider Sofa Vacuuming for heavy shedders
  • Ask for scent-free products if you prefer them

Our team will always treat your pets, and your home, with care and respect. For more ways to get ready, see How to Prepare Your Home for a Professional Cleaning.
